Application Process

2026-2027 LaGrange Society Application Timeline: 

February 3rd, 2026 - Interest Meeting in Gunn Commons 330 

February 4th, 2026 - Applications Open

March 18th, 2026 - Application Deadline (4:30 p.m. CST)

March 31st - Captain Interviews (12:30 - 2:30 p.m.)

           Role Plays in GUC 200 (4:00 - 6:00 p.m.)

April 1st & 2nd - Interviews in Gunn Commons 3rd Floor Conference Room

 

Member Application Requirements

Photos, resumes, and recommendation letters can be emailed to tsockwell@una.edu

  1. Complete the
  2. Submit a recent photo of yourself
  3. Submit a resume of UNA activities, awards, honors, and work experience
  4. Submit 3 recommendation letters from current UNA faculty or staff (returning members exempt)
  5. Participate in role-play scenarios (March 31st, 4:00-6:00 PM, GUC 200)
  6. Sign up for an interview time with a panel of UNA faculty/staff (April 1st or 2nd, Gunn Commons 3rd Floor) 

 

Captain Application Requirements*

*Only returning LaGrange Society members can apply for Captain positions.

Photos, resumes, and essays can be emailed to tsockwell@una.edu

  1. Complete the due March 4th
  2. Submit a recent photo of yourself
  3. Submit a resume of UNA activities, awards, honors, and work experience
  4. Submit an essay answering the following question: "Explain how you have shown leadership and initiative during your time in the LaGrange Society, and how do you plan to be an effective leader as a captain?"
  5. Participate in role-play scenarios (March 31st 4:00-6:00 PM, location TBD)
  6. with a panel of UNA faculty/staff (March 31st , Gunn Commons 3rd Floor)
