Thank you for your interest in the Alabama State Department of Education’s Temporary Special Education Certificate (TSEC) coursework offered here at the 天美传媒. The ALSDE developed this TSEC approach as an alternative option leading to Class B (Bachelor's degree level) Professional Educator Certification in the teaching field of Collaborative Teacher grades 6-12. UNA has been approved to offer the required five-course sequence for this TSEC approach. All approved courses are offered online and may be completed within one year or may be spread out across semesters (up to three years). You may complete coursework field experiences within your school of employment. All coursework must be completed at the same Alabama college/university (i.e., UNA). Individuals enrolling in this TSEC pathway coursework must communicate with their employing Alabama School District for information about the ALSDE TSEC approach requirements. Also, please refer to the ALSDE webpage (link at the bottom of this page) for up-to-date information on Alternative Certificates.
